Trip program

Day 1

Dubrovnik

Welcome!
Meeting and transfer by minivan from airport to the center of Dubrovnik where you will be welcomed by your local host. We will assist you with luggage storage. Free time to visit city (is depending on your arrival flight schedule).

Overnight: Dubrovnik

Day 2

Kayaking Dubrovnik – Elaphite islands

After breakfast we go on ferry* to Lopud island. There, we gather at the beach for instructions in shallow protected bay: the guide will explain safety procedures and give the tips on paddling technique.

We start paddling from the bay of Lopud to island of Šipan, once a center of Authority of Dubrovnik Republic.

After we have a lunch there, we can go on early ferry to Dubrovnik or paddle back to island of Lopud, explore the island and in the evening go on the ferry to Dubrovnik.

After dinner, pancakes are must on the most popular part of the old town.

Day 3

Rafting on Cetina river

After breakfast, we drive towards a small town Omiš, just 20 kilometres from Split where we will meet our ratfing team and drive to amazing Cetina river where we will start our unforgettable rafting experience. Atfer lunch we drive to our accommodation where we will be welcomed by our host and then go to Split where you will have free time to walk on a popular promenade and visit Diocletian’s palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in 4th century.

Enjoy a free evening in Split and delicious Mediterranien food.

Day 4

Hiking National park Paklenica

This day is reserved for amazing national park, the first one for you in this tour, the National Park Paklenica. You will enjoy breathtaking viewpoints and enjoy its natural and cultural heritage. Due to its unique natural features, magnificent forests and extraordinary geomorphologic structures, the area of Velika and Mala Paklenica was proclaimed a national park in 1949. The main reason for proclaiming this area a national park was the protection of the largest and best preserved forest complex in the territory of Dalmatia, which was threatened by overexploitation. The Paklenica National Park stretches on the area of 95 km2 , on the littoral slope of South Velebit under the zone of highest mountain peaks Vaganski vrh (1752) and Sveto brdo (1753).

Day 5

Hiking Plitvice lakes National park

With a surface of 294.82 km2, Plitvice Lakes National Park is the largest of Croatia’s eight national parks and we will enjoy its beauty today. Plitvice Lakes was proclaimed a National park in 1949, also making it the oldest national park in Croatia. In 1979, Plitvice Lakes National Park was included in the UNESCO list of World Natural Heritage sites. The 16 lakes are known for their cascades and the ongoing biodynamic process of tufa formation under specific ecological and hydrological conditions. After visiting this amazing National park we drive to our accommodation.

Day 6

Zagreb

After breakfast we drive towards heart of Croatia, its capital city, Zagreb. On our way to Zagreb we stop to visit Rastoke, little but beautiful village near city Slunj. There we will enjoy its natural beauty, rivers and take a coffee break. We continue our way to Zagreb where you will have free afternoon to visit old town and all its beauties and historical monuments.

Day 7

Zagreb kayaking/canoeing Jarun lake

Zagreb has its own sea only 15 minutes from city center. It is called Jarun lake and it is also sport center where you will enjoy kayaking or canoeing around its six islands and enjoy in one of the restaurants. In the afternoon we can also visit Sava river (optional). Late afternoon we go back to the city center and enjoy in delicious food and ice cream in one of the best ice cream shops in town. Dinner is included.

Day 8

Zagreb, departure

After breakfast, transfer by minivan to the Zagreb airport.

Accomodation

Private guesthouse on the islands are licensed and approved for tourists. Rooms are typically shared, with two people per room. Rooms are simple, comfortable, and clean, with private bathroom, bed linens, and towels.

Guesthouses are conveniently located. Everything is within walking distance. Hotel accommodation is also available on request.

The key to staying comfortable while on an active trip is layering. To get maximum comfort with minimum weight, you need versatile layers that mix and match to create the right amount of insulation, ventilation and weather protection.

Day 1

Dubrovnik
